Double weave on a high twist paper yarn warp, painted with natural botanical inks and weft inserts of handmade silk papers, linen cotton and paper yarns dyed mostly with natural dyes.
2022 was a year of weather extremes: from heavy rain and high winds in January through a benign spring and a hot, dry parched summer, into a blaze of colour in autumn and a cold winter. As a textile artist and hand weaver, Jill is inspired by the impact of the weather on colours and textures in the landscape and how these change across the seasons.
