Tutor: Karl Watkins from Solace in Wood
Suitable for ages 16+
On this course Karl will teach you how to safely carve a spoon from a wood blank using a hook knife and straight knife. We will consider the importance of grain alignment, learn a range of knife grips and discuss where to source suitable tools and materials. You will leave with a finished spoon and the initial skills to continue your spoon carving journey at home at your own pace. Suitable for beginners, but those with some prior woodcarving experience are very welcome too.
