Welsh Block Printed Bags is a new collection by Lynda Shell based on her contemporary had sewn quilt which is currently on display in 'Unfolding Welsh Textiles: Past & Present' exhibition at Craft in the Bay.
This collection is created by linking some of the patterns revealed in her hand sewn wall hung quilt with the typical construction of Welsh tapestry blanket patterns. The designs have been block printed onto linen cloth using handmade printing blocks from cut foam and wood.
