You are welcome to book one session (2 hours) or make another booking for the morning session to extend your time in the workshop, creating more intricate designs or more items of metalwork.
Pewter casting is an ancient technique, used long ago by the Romans. It is very low tech and wonderful items of jewellery with a professional finish can be produced in a few hours. Mandy will show you how to design and carve into plaster - creating moulds into which lead-free pewter is poured. The molten pewter cools very quickly, enabling you to finish your jewellery items to create earrings, brooches, keyrings or fridge magnets.
No prior experience in pewter casting is needed and all materials will be provided on the day. Suitable for all ages over 12 years.
